Kamloops, British Columbia

Population: (Metro) 99,000

Where Rivers Meet

Known as the "meeting place" of the North and South Thompson rivers, Kamloops basks in over 2,000 hours of sunshine per year, making it a prime location for hiking, mountain biking, strolling, or slathering on sunscreen and soaking up some rays. It also makes for good grape-growing; Kamloops' budding wine industry promises plenty of Pinot Gris to cool yourself down with.
