Rocky Mountaineer announces new Managing Director of Sales – International

(Vancouver, Canada - November 5, 2019) Rocky Mountaineer, the luxury glass-domed tourist train that travels through the Canadian Rockies, has announced the company’s international sales teams in Australia, the UK and China will be aligned under the newly created role of Managing Director, Sales – International.

Assuming the new position will be Steve Maksymyk, former Vice President of Global Partnerships and Ventures at InterContinental Hotels Group, who will be based out of the company’s head office in Vancouver. Steve brings 15 years of international experience in business and channel strategy, digital transformation and innovation, and e-commerce. Prior to his work with InterContinental Hotels Group, Steve spent more than six years in Shanghai, China as a management consultant with a focus on distribution channels and digital capabilities.

Reporting to Steve will be Amber Wilson, Regional Director, Sales – Australia and New Zealand; Steve Harris, Regional Sales Director – EMEA; and Miles Chen, Director of Sales – China.
